did you have this old IC ?... i rebuild this stuff, just replace dried Capacitor.. and yes ..!! still ALIVE !!!

Amplifier la4440

this is old and original from sanyo datasheet.. so if you want to try it, buy it and build it :-)

good,.. this is caled "compo amplifier", cause has compact figure box, small enough and able use batterai 12V
the IC produce heat, please use a good heatsink.

classic car amplifier la 4440

Background

I just search over internet and I found the scheme of LA4440 Amplifier.
Using Output Capasitor 1000uF to pass the AC signal and blok DC signal go trough Speaker. Contains two OP AMP, so can design as stereo power amplifier. Above the scheme it's normal configuration for two speaker (stereo) 6 Watt each. also able to design as BTL Amplifier bellow scheme). You can see here only one speaker. It means two Op-Amp configured into a couple OP-AMP to push pull the speaker. REMEMBER DO NOT Connect any wire of Speaker to Ground in BTL configuration.

Mosquito Repellant

I find Mosquito Repellant circuit from Graham Maynard.
Consisting of a phase locked loop (CMOS 4047) wired as a 22KHz oscillator,
The output is further amplified by a pair of complimentary output transistors and drives 3.25 inch Piezo.

Volume Control 4066

Replace than old mono Variable Resistor with digital one. yes i wish i can create an digital Volume COntrol. i bought IC 4066 it's Quad Switch. use R2R Ladder to make some Bridge. For example the level is 0000 binary (all switch off) the output are 0% when all switch on (1111 binary) then the output 100%. We need some Count Up and Count DOwn IC to produce 0000..1111 binary counter. Use 40xx family IC, can use in wide voltage 3,6,12V. the PCB must not over 3x3cm (two IC) with two button, 4 LED binarycode id.

Can you figure out? What about that scheme? come on quick design it, create it and get the photo. put on your web site . then notice me on comment page :-)

Audio Clip Player 1999



When i googling, i found this old scheme (I re-draw for clarity scheme) about audio clip player. from Alan nishioka ( http://www.nishioka.com ) it uses IC 555 timer, IC 4040 counter, IC EEPROM 27512, ResistorLadder DAC, and Mini Amplifier with 324 OP AMP to produce audio clip. hmm.. cute, i wish it can put on my bicycle to promo ice cream, bread, etc. Look like ringtone, ups i mean audiotone.

What about the wave data ?
Try to make from 8bit-mono *.wav file, use any audio converter (ex: winamp waveout) to convert from mp3 to wav. THe calculation, if use 8000hz sampling-rate and 64KB ROM so only 65536 byte / 8000 byte = 8 second !!! hmm...enough to say several word. for promo audio clip ?? see more his project at http://www.nishioka.com

how to re-presentate the percent. of duration ?
Use IC 4017.
input clock from A10 then lets the 4017 calculate the duration every 10% (4017 have 10 led or ) after 10 steps (or 8 steps in A11,A12,A13?) i will back to first led.
i Think it's cool behavior act like Knightrider LED.
